Given South Africa’s current electricity predicament, more and more people are opting to either get off the grid entirely, or install automatic switchover alternative backup power solutions for when loadshedding or power cuts hit. Automatic Switchover refers to when a backup power solution automatically kicks in when it senses a power outage, so you won’t have to manually turn on your backup power.
